Satya Sai Mothadaka

Satya holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi in 2002 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Hyderabad in 1999. His achievements in the contemporary art field are notable, including participation in various prestigious events. He has been invited by The Limlip Art Museum in South Korea to take part in “The International Art Festival & Exhibition of the 20th Gongju International Art Festival (GIAF) 2023.” Additionally, Satya is also set to participate in an international art camp and workshop titled ‘Beyond and Beneath’ at Van Lang University in Saigon, Vietnam. Moreover, he has been selected as a jury member for the ‘Around The World’ art festival, an international exhibition and competition organized by the Saint Petersburg Humanitarian Centre. He has also received an invitation to join an art symposium in Saint
Petersburg, Russia.


Satya’s work has garnered significant recognition, including a commission from the Indian Prime Minister’s Office to create a wall painting. His artworks are included in the collection of the Museum Of Sacred Art (MOSA) in Belgium. Virgin Atlantic Airline has commissioned him to produce a commemorative painting for the flight operations planning symposium (IOPS). He has been acknowledged by NDTV as “One of the young promising artists of India”; in the program “Mission Admission.” Furthermore, he has been invited to an “International artist in residence & workshop” at the residence of the German Ambassador to Uzbekistan in Tashkent. Satya has also received the Ravi Jain Memorial Foundation award and fellowship from Dhoomimal Art Gallery. His name has been featured among the Top Ten Young Upcoming Artists of India in “Where to Put Your Money,” a guide to investing in art reviewed in the daily newspaper ‘The Times of India’ and Financial Times. MAX Chain of Hospitals has commissioned him for digital works, and he was awarded the Runner up, Bose Pacia Emerging Artist Award in New York.


He is a founder director of “Mothadaka Foundation”, (https://www.mothadaka.org) a self- funded and non-profit foundation that promotes art and culture. He is one of the present patrons of Royal Scottish Academy (RSA), Edinburgh.
